A rock slide closes U.S. 50 in both directions in El Dorado County. The California Highway Patrol says the slide happened east of Echo Summit early this morning when a driver crashed into boulders and rolled his SUV. Caltrans says no one was hurt, but they’ve got to blow up several large boulders before they can be removed.
