Lemmon Valley homeowners may be getting $4.5 million from the city to settle claims over flooding that destroyed or damaged their homes. In 2017, heavy snowpack and rain ran into Lemmon Valley, causing Swan Lake to swell, and push water into property owners’ homes. It’s unclear, per the terms of the settlement, how many property owners must split the money and whether they get to keep their property or must move. Reno City Council must still approve the settlement at its meeting in May.
