NV Supreme Court to hear death penalty case in quadruple murder

The state’s highest court will consider a death penalty dispute involving an accused quadruple murderer in northern Nevada. Lawyers for Wilber Martinez-Guzman, who killed two people in Gardnerville and two in Reno are asking the state’s highest court overturn a ruling that he can be tried for all four crimes in Reno. Prosecutors say one trial is valid because he killed all four victims with the same gun he stole from a Reno couple. No word on when the justices may rule in the case.
