The state’s highest court will hear an appeal in a quadruple murder case. The high court will determine how much more time-if any-public defenders should have to try to prove that Wilber Martinez-Guzman is intellectually disabled can’t be executed for the killings of four people in northern Nevada. The court will also decide whether Martinez-Guzman can be tried for all four murders in Washoe County though two occurred in Douglas County. Trial, right now, is slated to start in September.
