Truckee Meadows firefighters make quick work of a brush fire. It broke out on an island in the Truckee River near Mogul last night. The fire was visible from I-80, and firefighters got lucky that embers didn’t blow onto nearby wildlands and spark a larger fire. The cause of the fire is unknown. Firefighters remind you that just because its cold doesn’t mean you can’t spark fire.
