Washoe County has 21,000 doses of COVID-19 vaccine

Washoe County has 21,000 doses of COVID-19 vaccine to date-with that being a combo of the Moderna and Pfizer vaccines. Of those 8,700 will be administered by the health district. The remaining more than 12,000 doses have gone to county partners like REMSA, healthcare providers, and local fire departments. The Reno Gazette-Journal reports the health district says 5,500 vaccinations occurred over 10 days at the Reno-Sparks Livestock Events Center.

Meantime, the county added five COVID-19 deaths for a total of 513. The county also saw 183 new cases. As many as 219 persons remain hospitalized with the virus in Washoe County.
