Over 207,000 Washoe County residents have already voted in the 2020 general election as of Saturday, according to the county registrar’s office. Despite Republicans showing up in stronger numbers throughout early voting, Democrats maintain a slight lead thanks to returning almost 20,000 more mail ballots. Turnout was at 68% as of Oct. 31, a strong showing so far and an indication that we could see record-breaking turnout on Election Day.
