Washoe County man who was 1st in country to contract COVID-19 twice studied further

A peer-reviewed study of a Washoe County man who was the first person to contract COVID-19 twice is out. The Lancet Infectious Diseases says the study found that the 25-year-old man’s viral agents were “genetically distinct” and his second infection was more severe than his first. The study raises questions about COVID antibodies that those who’ve been infected may have that prevent reinfection at least initially.
