Former Nevada governor Brian Sandoval is the new president of the University of Nevada, Reno. Sanodval is the university’s first Hispanic president; he’s also a graduate of UNR. He starts his new job October 5th-taking over for Marc Johnson, who announced his upcoming retirement last year. He’ll make $500,000 a year – on top of housing and car allowances.
