Equity issues arise for students taking part in distance learning – due to both the coronavirus pandemic and wildfire smoke all this week. Washoe County Schools are trying to help by creating 10 Wi-Fi hotspots via Smart Buses stationed throughout the community. They’re also adding Wi-Fi to school buses so students with longer commutes can work done.
