Trade report finds gambling revenues fell 79% nationwide during COVID-19 pandemic

A new trade report finds gambling in the U.S. fell 79 percent in the second quarter of this year. The American Gaming Association says the significant drop in revenue is due to casino closures tied to COVID-19-calling the virus the most significant economic challenge the gambling industry has ever faced, coming off a record year. The trade group remains optimistic, though, that the gaming industry will recover.
