Several protesters showed up to the Governor’s mansion in Carson City on Saturday morning to protest budget cuts and furloughs affecting state workers. Earlier this week, Governor Steve Sisolak proposed monthly furloughs of one day a month for state employees. That will also include a freeze in merit salary raises and about 50 layoffs to address Nevada’s budget shortfall for 2020.
