A man, who was shot by a Sparks Police officer following a chase on I-80 near Derby Dam earlier this month, faces additional charges. Police have filed charges of felony assault on a peace officer and a count of being an ex-felon in possession of a weapon against Joseph Williams. Police say they heard what they thought was gunfire, and then Williams tried to use his truck to ram officer vehicles while trying to escape.
