South Lake Tahoe has declared a local emergency due to COVID-19. The declaration-like others made in Washoe County, just allows for faster emergency response. It also puts a stop on all residential evictions until May 31st. The city is encouraging residents to shelter in place at home, if possible. They’re telling vacationers to reschedule their trips.
