A series of roadway improvements are being made along South Carson Street. The work, which began Saturday, includes improving access and traffic flow and making the roadway safer for pedestrians with new sidewalks and better lighting. It’s happening from 5th Street to just near the I-580 freeway. The $20 million construction project is expected to take a year.
