Authorities say a former state prison inmate who headed a northern Nevada drug trafficking ring has been sentenced to 14 years in federal prison. Jose Valentin Mora was sentenced Monday after pleading guilty in October in U.S. District Court in Reno to conspiracy to possess and distribute methamphetamine and possession of a firearm by a prohibited person. The 38 year old More was also sentenced to five year of supervised release after prison. 15 other co-defendents also pleaded guilty in the case.
