According to fire officials, there are only minor injuries after a cement truck was struck by a passenger train near a Frontage Road east of Sparks by Derby Dam.
It happened at about 10 a.m. on Thursday at Frontage Road 417 . The frontage road is east of USA Parkway. According to a Truckee Meadows Fire Protection battalion chief, two people were transported to a hospital with minor injuries and one person was treated at the scene.
