The Reno Police Department says crews responded to the intersection of South Virginia Street and South McCarran Boulevard Tuesday evening after a pedestrian darted into traffic. Officials said a 30-year-old man was taken to the hospital with a head injury after he ran out into traffic and got hit . They said the car was going northbound on Virginia when it happened. Officials said drugs or alcohol were not factors in the crash and the driver remained on scene.
