A New Year means new laws in Nevada. More than 70 new laws, passed last legislative session, take effect on January 1, 2020. In addition to gun controls, now, you can register to vote online or in-person on Election Day. Another law allows anyone with pre-existing health conditions to buy insurance. Vaping products will be taxed, and now it’s illegal for employers not to hire someone who tests positive for marijuana in a pre-employment drug screening though first responders are exempt from the law.
