Court ruling puts stop to Tahoe development

A court ruling puts the brakes on a controversial development in Lake Tahoe. The Placer County Superior Court’s order puts a stop to the Martis Valley West Project. The court says the county didn’t do the proper studies to determine the project’s impact on emergency evacuations in the event of a wildfire. The development aimed to bring more than 750 new homes to 6 acres of land near Highway 267 and North Star.
