Public meeting tonight for future of US 50 in S. Lake Tahoe

The future of U.S. 50 is up for discussion tonight. NDOT says it wants narrow U.S. 50 to one lane in each direction to accommodate turning lanes in South Lake Tahoe. News 4 reports they’re also considering adding roundabouts, bike lanes and parking spots on certain sections of the road between Spooner Junction and the state line. The public meeting runs from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Zephyr Cover Elementary School.
