Wet winter runoff lowering Lake Tahoe clarity

Look into Lake Tahoe-and it may not be as clear as in years past. The lake’s clarity level is dropping-and with our record-breaking winter-snow melt and debris are making things worse. 2 news reports the runoff is responsible for algae growth too. And it may not be at its worst point yet-since a lot of snowmelt won’t happen until summer. The hope is the lake will get clearer come this fall.
