Tahoe climber joins only 200 to climb Mt. Everest without oxygen

A Tahoe-area climber achieves something few in this world have done. Adrian Ballinger climbed to the top of Mount Everest without the help of any additional oxygen. The Reno Gazette-Journal reports this is Ballinger’s 7th time to climb the summit-but his first time without extra oxygen. He attempted a climb last year without oxygen-but suffered hypothermia and didn’t make it. Just 200 people have climbed Mt. Everest without oxygen.
