Paramedic killed in NV medflight crash laid to rest

A paramedic from Utah who was killed in a med-flight plane crash in Nevada is laid to rest. The Herald Journal reports 24-year-old Jake Shepherd was remembered Monday. He was helping transport a heart patient to Salt Lake City November 18th when the plane crashed and caught fire in a parking lot shortly after takeoff in Elko. Shepherd, a nurse, the pilot, and the heart patient were all killed. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
