Appeal of convicted child murderer rejected by NV SupCo

The state’s highest court rejects an appeal from a man on death row. The Las Vegas Sun reports the Nevada Supreme Court won’t hear an appeal from Thomas Collman, who claims he had ineffective counsel. Collman was convicted of murdering his girlfriend’s toddler three decades ago in 1996. Prosecutors say the one-year-old showed signs of child abuse and bruising, including bite marks.
