A man who claims to be holding a Reno puppy for ransom may be out of state. The Reno-Gazette Journal reports a man texted the dog’s 17-year-old owner and said he had the Husky named Keoni, and that he would give it back for $345. Police say a Secret Witness tip led them to a suspect out of state, but they wouldn’t say where. Keoni is three months old and doesn’t have a microchip implanted to help locate him, which police say makes it difficult to find him.
