A group is on a mission to save lives with soap. The non-profit Clean the World started as a small operation in a Florida garage and has since grown to include industrial recycling facilities in Las Vegas, a city where used bars of hotel soap are plentiful. The group now distributes millions of recycled bars of soap left over from more than 4,000 hotels to nearly 100 countries where hygiene products aren’t readily available and a lack of handwashing leads to thousands of preventable deaths annually.
