Washoe County election officials are predicting a breeze through the process at polling stations today. Based on advance voting numbers, this mid-term election is not generating a lot of interest. Washoe County Registrar of Voters Luanne Cutler says voter turnout will likely be low across the county’s 488 precincts and 83 polling stations. Cutler is predicting about 50 percent of the 225-thousand voters will cast ballots. Four years ago, at the 2010 midterm election, voter turnout was 64 percent, but because there is no presidential election and no Senate race, Cutler says many people don’t bother.
