The City of Reno administrative offices at Reno City Hall will be closed in observance of Nevada Day, Friday, October 31, 2014. The date marks Nevada’s 150th birthday, and there are a number of ways citizens can join in the celebration. Also, Lieutenant Governor Brian Krolicki has invited Nevadans to join him and Governor Brian Sandoval for “Nevada Sings,” a statewide sing-along of “Home Means Nevada.” On Thursday, October 30 at 10 a.m., Nevadans can join together in an attempt to set a record for the most people in an American state to sing their state song at the same time.
