Nevada Highway Patrol says one person is dead after a crash on I-80 west near Virginia Street early Wednesday afternoon. Troopers say the unidentified driver hit the center median, then a light pole and concrete pillar under the overpass and caught fire Wednesday before 12:30 p.m. A portion of the interstate was temporarily closed while crews worked to clear the crash.
