A man is arrested in connection with a hit-and-run that injured two women in Sparks. Police handcuffed 22-year-old Angulo Moreno yesterday. He faces two felony counts of leaving the scene of a crash causing personal injury. Police say he mowed down two women at Prater Way and 15th Street Sunday. They’re expected to survive.

A reminder – an excessive heat warning remains in effect for the Greater Reno area through Wednesday. Areas affected include Fernley, Fallon, Lovelock, Silver Springs, and Nixxon. A Reno man gets more than 14 years behind bars for two armed robberies robbery. 32-year-old Edward Knight was convicted of holding up a Sparks liquor store and a convenience store at gunpoint in the summer of 2019. He’s considered a habitual offender – with three prior felony convictions for armed robbery.
