After a “drought emergency” is declared in Alpine and El Dorado counties, the Douglas County Board of Commissioners is asking its residents to conserve water. They want you to take the voluntary water conservation steps through October. Odd-numbered addresses are asked to water their lawns only on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays while even-numbered addresses should water on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays.
