Social distancing guidelines to drop when Washoe Co. reaches 75% vaccination rate

All social distancing guidelines will be dropped in Washoe County once the vaccination rate hits 75 percent, according to the county’s new reopening plan. Currently just 23 percent of residents are fully vaccinated. News 4 reports for the first time lays out what COVID-19 benchmarks must be cleared before a full reopening. The plan says events with more than 500 people can resume when the county takes over pandemic response from the state starting May 1st. That’s also when all capacity limits at businesses would lift-so long as social distancing still applies. Masks would still be required until Governor Sisolak lifts the mandate.
