Construction and mining workers are now eligible to get vaccinated against COVID-19. The Washoe County Health District say there are 20,0000 construction employees and just over 300 mining employees now eligible to get the vaccine locally. Employees will get an email invite from their employers soon. This frontline infrastructure group is the second to last essential workforce to become eligible to get vaccinated. The last category is college students living in dorms, higher ed workers, and community support administrative staff. Starting April 5th, all Nevadans 16 and older will be eligible to get vaccinated.
