Those 75+ can get COVID-19 vaccine in 2nd phase

Washoe County is preparing to being a second phase of COVID-19 vaccinations. Phase 1b includes anyone over the age of 75 as well as educators and child care staff, other essential workers, and inmates. Washoe County Health District Officer Kevin Dick says more than 40 pharmacies in the county will administer the vaccine during this stage. Kevin Dick urged patience–saying the health district gets one email every minute from members of the public about when they can receive the vaccine. Governor Steve Sisolak says so far, more than 25,000 Nevadans have gotten the COVID-19 vaccine, and he expects that number to grow in the coming days.
