El Dorado County Supervisors took their first step towards limiting vacation rentals in the Lake Tahoe area. They narrowly passed the first reading of an amendment that adds a cap on the number of vacation rental permits issued. Vacation rentals would be capped at 900. The amendment must pass a second time at the supervisors’ next meeting in mid-December.
