Reno business owners ‘disappointed’ after violent protests

Business owners who just started reopening say they’re disappointed that peaceful protests turned into violent riots, leaving them to deal with the damage. Tom Adams tells 2 News he had to evacuate his staff from his speakeasy Saturday night when a riot at city hall erupted. Fire was reported inside city hall; the area saw broken glass and graffiti though the historic 1933 post office wasn’t damaged inside. The community came together to clean up Sunday, and the Reno-Sparks NAACP issued a statement calling for calm. Protests have erupted in cities across the nation in response to the police killing of George Floyd.
