Reopening date for NV DMVs not yet set

As Nevada prepares to enter Phase 2 of reopening Friday, there’s no word on when DMVs will reopen. When they do reopen, but whe nthey do people will only be able to use services that directly affect their ability to drive. Only walk-ins will be accepted in Reno and Carson City.

Driver rescued after fiery crash in Washoe County

A driver is rescued from a burning Jeep by Washoe County sheriff’s deputies. It happened Wednesday after a two-vehicle crash at Rock Boulevard and Longley Lane. Two persons were hospitalized. The driver of the Jeep suffered critical injuries.

Reno won’t annex property along Evans Creek

Reno City Council shoots down a proposal to annex more than 1,000 acres along Evans Creek. Council’s unanimous decision not to annex Ballardini Ranch comes over fire concerns and a lack of access. It’s believed developer Evans Creek had wanted to build a large housing complex on the site.

Gov. Sisolak Tests Negative

Governor Steve Sisolak announced Wednesday that he has tested negative for the coronavirus after potentially being exposed. Shooting in Reno

A man is in stable condition after being shot near his shoulder Wednesday evening near Yori Avenue and Gallaway Lane in Reno. Around 7:30 p.m. the Reno Police Department responded to a shooting at the 2600 block of Yori Avenue in Reno.
