The Northern Nevada community is grieving the loss of Bruce McAllister. The Washoe County Health District confirmed that McAllister was the first COVID-19 death in Washoe County. The 47-year-old Sparks resident had Graves’ disease and had his thyroid removed years ago because of an autoimmune disorder. However McAllister’s wife, Lana McAllister said he was mostly active and healthy.
