Reno considers parks fee hike to combat rising minimum wage

Reno may have to hike recreation fees, fees for senior center passes, and after-school program rates to combat a scheduled hike in the minimum wage. AZ man to head to trial in 2021 for cold case Reno murder

An Arizona man accused of a decades-old killing of a Reno woman heads to trial next year. Charles Sullivan was arrested in August after prosecutors say DNA evidence was found on the victim’s body. Sullivan is accused of killing Julia Woodward who was found dead in Hungry Valley 40 years ago.

Reno marijuana grower sues NV Dept. of Taxation

A Reno marijuana growing operation which had its license suspended is now suing the state Department pf Taxation. The Reno Gazette-Journal reports Herbal Care claims the state dragged out an investigation into its operations. New gathering space to open in Reno this spring

A new gathering space downtown will be complete by spring. News 4 reports that Jacobs Entertainment is planning for an open promenade and festival tent along West Fourth Street near the Sands Regency in Reno’s Neon Line District. It will also feature art installations from Burning Man. Construction begins March 1st.
