UNR says it’s prepared for potential coronavirus outbreak

UNR says it’s prepared for a possible coronavirus outbreak on campus. In a letter to the community, President Marc Johnson says there’s no known cases of the novel virus on campus or in the entire state. The university says it will remain in constant contact with local health officials and follow CDC guidance. The Nevada State Public Health Lab located on campus will also serve as the first-line of defense for detection of any public health threat. It’s unclear how study abroad programs may be affected.
