New Reno homes could be required to have sprinklers

New homes in Reno could be required to have sprinklers to help reduce the danger of fire spreading. News 4 reports Reno Fire put the ordinance before city council saying fires are becoming more dangerous and sprinklers could save lives and property for those who live outside the department’s 6-minute response time. Existing homes would not be required tdo add sprinkler systems, if the measure passes.
