Church vandals break windows, smash lights

Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a series of church vandalism incidents in Lake Tahoe. The latest incidents happened at 7:30 a.m. Sunday at the Village Presbyterian Church on McCourry Boulevard in Incline Village and St. Francis of Assisi off Mount Rose Highway. KOLO-TV reports the vandalism started as just graffiti but rose to broken stained glass windows. At St. Francis, their cross was nearly half sawed off. Authorities say the vandalism started in April. $500 reward is being offered by Secret Witness for the capture of the vandal. You can call them at 322.4900.
