It was initially thought Nevada residents could maybe start getting Uber and Lyft rides by the end of the month, but now state transportation officials are saying “slow down.” 2 News report that regulators say it will take months to create and approve policies for the ride-hailing companies. Any emergency regulations still need approval by Governor Brian Sandoval, who is a proponent of the plan. If approved Uber could begin submitting applications next week, but rides will be several months away.
