Uber, Lyft still months away from operating in Nevada

It was initially thought Nevada residents could maybe start getting Uber and Lyft rides by the end of the month, but now state transportation officials are saying “slow down.” 2 News report that regulators say it will take months to create and approve policies for the ride-hailing companies. Any emergency regulations still need approval by Governor Brian Sandoval, who is a proponent of the plan. If approved Uber could begin submitting applications next week, but rides will be several months away.
