The audience at the Reno Rodeo was horrified to see two horses fall down last night during a performance. The two were pulling a carriage during the Percheron Thunder event when one of them stumbled and fell. The performance was halted, and then a second horse fell down. The owner says they do this type of exhibition up to 200 times a year, and this kind of stumble is a rare occurrence. Veterinarians attended to the horses immediately. Both horses were able to stand up and trot out of the arena with the rest of the team. A woman was kicked in the chest by one of the horses as it struggled to stand. A rodeo spokesman says the woman was not injured.
