If you’re looking for something fun to do this weekend, the Nevada State Museum is hosting a basket making workshop as part of their Family Fun Saturday. The workshop runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. this Saturday. Pre-registration is required and you can do that through Friday. Attendees will make a coiled basket stitched together with colorful yarn or a twined basket made of reeds and beads. You can also visit the museum’s “Under One Sky” exhibit that reveals American Indian life in Nevada and the art of basketry. To register, call 687-4810 ext. 237 or email dstevenson@nevadaculture.org.
