Reno shuts down homeless feeding site in Morris Burner Hotel

Reno has shut down one of the city’s largest shelter that feeds homeless people.
The city closed We Care Volunteers’ Fourth Street Operation inside the Morris Burner Hotel. City officials say since We Care began serving nightly meals to the homeless between 7:30 and 8:30 p.m. they’ve noticed an uptick in disturbances and violence. We Care volunteers were scheduled to meet with city council Wednesday morning to try to find an alternative location for the feeding site.
